Abundantly Blessed

Elena Massa

It’s been one week since we departed from all that was home to us for 25 years. As we made our three day road trip to our new home in Estero, Florida, we found it hard to process all that has taken place over a quarter century. We have been blessed!

It is a challenge to let go of life. We loved our home in Delafield. It was a refuge. I nick-named it Shalom because of the peace and serenity it offered us throughout the years. It was a retreat from the daily challenges of the pastorate. It was a place to gather with family and friends and make wonderful memories. It was a wildlife refuge that continually entertained us (sometimes annoyed us). We have been blessed!

It was hard to let go, but harder still to say good-bye to the family of God that we fell in love with at Lake Country Bible Church. We are still basking in the light of their love. It is difficult to even put into words the love they displayed at our Farewell Celebration. We were humbled by it. It was over the top. We have been blessed!

To our church family at LCBC, we want to say thank you for loving us. Thank you for serving alongside of us. Thank you for letting us go in such a grand and God honoring way. We are slowly turning our hearts to the land half way across the world that seems to beckon us with a Macedonian-like call. “Come over to India and help us.”

We are praying for this dear church family to continue to uphold the purity of doctrine and the unity of fellowship. We can hardly wait to see all the Lord has in the way of blessings for them. Sal always tells people, “If you want to receive a blessing, be a blessing.” Our church family is definitely on the road to abundant blessings. And we have been blessed!
